    CARD MATCHING ACTIVITY
    All the students liked this activity very much. They found it very useful in order to learn the new vocabulary and very funny at the same time. Also, they say that it was not difficult for them to do it.

    PANEL
    All the students think that it was a very good idea to show the mind map of the lesson on a panel at the back of the classroom. Most of the information about the unit was displayed on the panel, with definitions and pictures and that helped a lot when doing the final task.

    It was fine to see if the students have understood the energy transformation, but they thought that it was much better to learn about energy transfer by using animations.

    LESSON 3 HOW ELECTRIC ENERGY IS GENERATED?
    VIDEO “ELECTRICITY FOR THE FUTURE”, QUESTIONS ABOUT THE VIDEO
    The video was very complete and interesting. However, some of the parts of the video were difficult to understand, even though they were repeated several times. However, the main ideas could be understood because the images were very appropriate to the messsage. The questions about the video were quite difficult for most of the students, but three of them answered the questions really well.

    TURBINE EXPERIMENT
    The students liked the experiment very much. However, the turbine didn’t spin very quickly, because the pressure of the steam wasn’t enough.

    It was difficult to see the ammeter needle move. The solenoid shown in the video “Electricity for the future" worked much better than the one in the laboratory.

    It was surprising to see how we still depend on fossil fuels to generate electricity

    PREPARING THE POWER POINT PRESENTATION
    By designing a presentation, you learn a lot about the energy resource you have to investigate about. It was a good idea to upload the presentations in the blog so that all the students could analyze the work done by the rest of the students. However, most of the students translated the presentations from Spanish, instead of doing directly in English.

    INTERACTIVE WHITEBOARD
    It was difficult for them to present the power point properly. Most of them just read what they have written before but three of them did it very well. All the students behaved really well and listened with attention to the student who was in the whiteboard.

    It was a good activity to learn vocabulary and to think over the things we all can do to save energy and reduce emissions of CO2. We should be ecologically aware and take care of the environment.

    LESSON 7 FINAL TASK: WHAT IS THE BEST ENERGY SOURCE FOR YOUR VILLAGE?
    WRITE THE REPORT
    It was a very useful activity to summarize all the knowledge acquired. Most of the students recognized that they have learned a lot by doing the final task. The students say they felt useful because they were supposed to help the inhabitants of a village to find the best power plant for them.

    USE OF THE BLOG
    It was a very good idea to have a blog with all the presentations done, with useful links and with some videos. The blog helped the students very much to accomplish the Final Task.
